Dr. Royal Lee, and other early nutritional pioneers, believed the degenerative processes of a specific organ/gland could be reversed by ingesting the corresponding raw materials specific to that organ/gland. He believed that Gallbladder glandular tissue and ox bile salts provided the body with specific building blocks to nourish, support and remodel one’s own gallbladder.
The purpose of Nxgen Gallbladder and Ox Bile is to provide bile acids along with complete nutrients that help support healthy bile ducts and gall bladder that control the flow of bile to the stomach. Gallbladder glandular tissue provides specific proteins, peptides, enzymes & co factors along with molecular bio directors (DNA instructions) to code and/or express the building of healthy gallbladder tissue. If you still have your gallbladder the nutrients within support your general gallbladder health and bile duct function. For those without a gallbladder the complete nutrients support and balance the stomach acid necessary for optimum digestion. The body uses the nutrients it needs.
Research shows that 57.2% of post-cholecystectomy patients experience bile acid malabsorption, while metabolic syndrome risk increases by 20%, and the risk of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease nearly triples. After cholecystectomy, the liver produces bile continuously without the gallbladder’s storage and concentration capacity, fundamentally altering how the body processes fats and maintains digestive health.
Without this organ, bile flows continuously from the liver directly into the small intestine in a diluted, less effective form. This continuous drip fundamentally alters fat digestion because the unconcentrated bile cannot adequately emulsify dietary fats, particularly during larger meals. The bile acid pool composition shifts toward secondary bile acids due to increased exposure to intestinal bacteria, further reducing digestive efficiency.
Post-cholecystectomy syndrome encompasses a constellation of symptoms that persist or develop after gallbladder removal, affecting between 5-40% of patients depending on the criteria used. The most common manifestation is bile acid diarrhea, occurring when poorly absorbed bile acids reach the colon and stimulate water and electrolyte secretion. Studies reveal that 62.8% of investigated patients have bile acid malabsorption.
Beyond diarrhea, patients experience fatty food intolerance, bloating, nausea, and intermittent abdominal pain. The syndrome has both biliary causes, including retained stones and bile leaks, and non-biliary causes such as unmasked irritable bowel syndrome or gastroesophageal reflux disease. Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) develops in 46.8% of post-cholecystectomy patients compared to 13.3% in healthy controls, as the reduced bile acid pool loses its antimicrobial effects. This bacterial proliferation creates a vicious cycle where bacteria deconjugate bile acids, further reducing their effectiveness and perpetuating digestive dysfunction.
NXGEN Gallbladder and Ox Bile is particularly helpful for those who –
· Have had their gallbladder removed
· Have a poor functioning/ sluggish gall bladder

· Are deficient in fat soluble vitamins or essential fatty acids
· Optimal Gallbladder Health Based On “Like Supports Like”
· Optimal Bile Duct Health Based On “Like Supports Like”
We are not necessarily just what we eat, we are what we absorb. Without optimal gallbladder function producing sufficient bile – we cannot absorb fat soluble vitamins A,D, E, K and fatty acids that are so critical to the maintenance of our health. Bile breaks fat molecules into smaller particles so as they travel through the small intestine they can undergo further digestion and finally become fully absorbed. If we do not have enough bile salts in our body, we can develop nutrient deficiencies because they are simply not being properly absorbed. Bile salts eliminate bilirubin from the body which is very important in particular for those with Wilson’s Disease.
If you have had your gallbladder removed you are no longer producing bile salts which help to eliminate cholesterol and toxic compounds and play a role in cholesterol regulation. In the absence of a fully functioning gallbladder, the liver continues to produce bile, but the body can no longer draw upon its “bile reserve.” The beneficial properties of purified, concentrated ox bile and gallbladder work together to enhance dietary fat metabolism and encourage absorption in the intestines.*
If you still have your gallbladder, bile salts help to promote gallbladder and liver function by reducing inflammation of the bile ducts and help normalise blood flow. They also help relieve gas and bloating that can be caused by gallbladder problems. If you have a bile salt insufficiency, taking a supplement of bile salts may also help to improve fibrosis of the liver as well as fatty liver disease and cirrhosis*. Ox Bile salts help digest and dissolve gallstones which are composed mostly of cholesterol and particles.
