Fulhealth Molecular Iodine Colloid 3% (10ml)
Product Description
Fulhealth Molecular Iodine Colloid delivers iodine in its true elemental form, I2, molecular iodine, suspended in a fine colloidal solution for maximum stability and absorption. Unlike standard iodine supplements that rely on iodide salts, Fulhealth is formulated at a precise 3% w/w concentration, giving you a clean, consistent, and easily measured source of one of the body’s most essential — and most commonly under-consumed — trace minerals.
Iodine is essential. Most of us don’t get enough of the right form.
Modern diets, soil depletion, and the shift away from iodized salt have left many people quietly short on one of the body’s most fundamental minerals. And when supplementation does happen, most products default to iodide which is the form your thyroid wants, but only part of the picture your whole body needs.
Molecular Iodine is the version researchers have most closely linked to activity beyond the thyroid, in the tissues that quietly depend on adequate iodine every single day yet so often go ignored with their need for iodine such as breast tissue, prostate and other reproductive organs.
Each 10ml bottle is designed for everyday use, offering a simple way to support the many systems in the body that depend on adequate iodine, from thyroid hormone production to breast health, reproductive health, cellular and immune function.
Research-Backed Benefits
Foundational thyroid support Iodine is the essential raw material your thyroid uses to produce T3 and T4, the hormones that regulate metabolism, energy, and temperature control. Without enough iodine, the thyroid simply cannot do its job efficiently.
Support beyond the thyroid While iodide is the form the thyroid prefers, research shows molecular iodine (I2) plays a distinct role in tissues outside the thyroid, acting as an antioxidant, a cell differentiator, and an immune modulator in tissues such as the breast, ovaries, and skin.
Breast tissue comfort and balance A growing body of research, much of it led by Dr. Carmen Aceves and colleagues studying the extrathyroidal actions of molecular iodine, points to I2’s role in supporting healthy breast tissue architecture and comfort across the menstrual cycle, distinct from its thyroid-related effects.
Cellular antioxidant activity Molecular iodine has been studied for its ability to help neutralize oxidative stress at the cellular level, supporting the body’s natural defense systems.
A gentler relationship with the thyroid Animal research suggests that, compared to iodide, molecular iodine partitions less into the thyroid gland for an equivalent dose, meaning it may exert its wider-body benefits with a lower relative impact on thyroid iodine load.
Molecular Iodine vs. Other Forms of Iodine
Not all iodine supplements are created equal. Here’s how molecular iodine compares to the other forms you’ll commonly see on the market:
Molecular Iodine (I2) — what Fulhealth uses The elemental, diatomic form of iodine — the same form iodine naturally exists in before it’s converted in the body. Because it doesn’t require conversion, I2 is absorbed efficiently by tissues throughout the body, not just the thyroid, and research suggests it plays a distinct role in extrathyroidal tissue health.
Potassium Iodide (KI) The most common form found in table salt and many standard supplements. Iodide is the form the thyroid actively pulls in via the sodium-iodide symporter (NIS) to build thyroid hormone. It’s effective for thyroid support but, in research, shows a smaller relative footprint in extrathyroidal tissues compared to I2.
Lugol’s Solution A traditional iodine formula combining both molecular iodine and potassium iodide in one solution. It offers a blend of both forms but at concentrations and ratios that are harder to titrate precisely, and its higher iodide load may carry more relevance to thyroid iodine intake.
Nascent Iodine A lower dose per drop option which is a great starting point for those new to oral iodine supplementation. Highly bioavailable in oral form, not as well suited to topical application.
The bottom line: if your goal is comprehensive iodine support — thyroid and beyond — the research points to molecular iodine (I2) as the form most directly studied for its activity in tissues outside the thyroid, which is exactly why Fulhealth is formulated as a pure I2 colloid rather than an iodide-based blend.
Suggested Usage: Fulhealth Molecular Iodine delivers 1.2 mg Iodine per Drop. If you are new to oral iodine supplementation, we recommend starting with Nascent Iodine or Foraged Mothers Blend which deliver a much lower dose per serve (400mcg and 290mcg respectively) and titrate up to Molecular Iodine.
Molecular Iodine is excellent for topical application paired with our organic, cold pressed Castor Oil. If you are sensitive to essential oils, you can create a DIY version of our InnerKin Functional Breast Tissue Support.
