Chlorella Powder by Green Nutritionals – 250g Powder

Chlorella is one of the most studied green foods on the planet. This single-celled freshwater algae is known for its natural binding properties and supports the body’s natural elimination of heavy metals such as mercury and lead, largely via the bowel.

Far from being just a binder, chlorella is a nutrient-dense whole food. It is rich in carotenoids and chlorophyll, contains vitamins A, B group, C and E in their natural food-based form, and provides minerals such as iron, zinc, calcium, potassium and magnesium, as well as amino acids. Many people find chlorella supports their digestion and general sense of wellbeing.

Chlorella is a great nutritional option for children. The powdered form may be easier for parents to serve by hiding it in green smoothies or juices. It doesn’t taste anywhere NEAR as bad as spirulina powder or wheatgrass which, let’s face it, is pretty foul.

Suggested use:
Adults: 1.5g daily for the first week, doubling in week two and working up to 6g daily.
Children: half the adult amounts, following the same gradual approach.

If you take vitamin C, take it as far away from chlorella as possible (best after meals).

Please talk to your practitioner before using chlorella during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
